Spec for spec
Most climbing pants make you choose: a belt buckle that digs under a harness, or an elastic waist that slides. Neither survives a full day. Here's what that trade-off costs you.

Built for it
Built-in Belt system
Our low-profile belt gives flexibility when you overload on carbs at the base, and support when you make the last push. Our unique system delivers a flat, adjustable hook & loop closure to lock your preference in. No buckle stack under your harness belay loop.
Rob Roy V2 fabric
90% nylon, 10% spandex, quick-drying and breathable. It moves with a heel hook instead of resisting it, and it dries on the walk-off. Warm enough for a cold belay, breathable enough for the approach, durable enough for the wall, and flexible enough for high feet.
Gimlet fabric
Lightweight, quick-drying, and easy wearing without the cling. Our unique perforated grid fabric allows for UPF 30+ sun protection and stretchy durability while maximizing passive cooling.
Features other sun hoodies lack
UPF 30+ from the knit structure, not a coating, so it never washes out. The hood clears a climbing helmet without pulling at the neck. Four low-profile snaps to dump heat when needed, dual function thumbloops that double as a smart/GPS watch passthrough, and the drop hem keeps you covered when reaching for that next hold.
from the field
Loving this pant so far for hiking and paragliding, excited to get it into more alpine climbing situations soon.

I love the front phone pocket in a pocket, where I can choose if I need to secure it behind the zipper, when I'm climbing or just really active. I also like the knife pockets at each hip, so my Leatherman is always available, yet doesn't bounce when I move fast.
Extremely comfortable for long days hiking/multipitch climbing!
I was looking for a tough, all day pant that I could wear to hike, scramble or just chill in. This fits the bill.
Before you ask
Yes — that's what it was designed around. There's no buckle stack, so nothing sits between your harness waistbelt and your hip.
No. The protection comes from the knit structure itself, not a coating, so it lasts as long as the shirt does.
It clears a standard climbing helmet without pulling at the neck. It also cinches down flat when you'd rather have it off your head.
Size down for a trim fit, up for full airflow. The Rob Roy runs an easy regular fit through the thigh.
