90% nylon, 10% spandex, quick-drying and breathable. It moves with a heel hook instead of resisting it, and it dries on the walk-off. Warm enough for a cold belay, breathable enough for the approach, durable enough for the wall, and flexible enough for high feet.

Comfy, good-looking and perfect pockets
I love the front phone pocket in a pocket, where I can choose if I need to secure it behind the zipper, when I'm climbing or just really active. I also like the knife pockets at each hip, so my Leatherman is always available, yet doesn't bounce when I move fast.

Yes — that's what it was designed around. There's no buckle stack, so nothing sits between your harness waistbelt and your hip.
Does the UPF 30+ wash out of the Gimlet?
No. The protection comes from the knit structure itself, not a coating, so it lasts as long as the shirt does.
Does the hood really fit over a helmet?
It clears a standard climbing helmet without pulling at the neck. It also cinches down flat when you'd rather have it off your head.
What size should I take if I'm between sizes?
Size down for a trim fit, up for full airflow. The Rob Roy runs an easy regular fit through the thigh.
